Thermofloc VSD Membrane

DESCRIPTION
THERMOFLOC VSD Membrane is an airtight membrane with a variable s.d. that allows the membrane to act as an effective
vapour control layer whilst allowing two way movement of water vapour as conditions allow.

APPLICATION
THERMOFLOC VSD Membrane provides air tightness whilst allowing effective moisture management. The membrane can be
use internally as an air tight barrier and vapour control layer for internal walls and roof linings. The THERMOFLOC VSD
Membrane should only be used on the warm side of the insulation.

THERMOFLOC VSD membrane is reinforced for increased tear resistance and can be used in conjunction with most insulation
systems including TEHRMOFLOC cellulose insulation.

INSTALLATION
THERMOFLOC VSD Membrane is fastened to the supporting structure by stapling or gluing. The lining must be installed with
the printed side facing inwards towards the room, i.e. with the fibrous side facing the thermal insulation.

With THERMOFLOC blow-in insulation, it is possible to install the VSD Membrane lining in both a longitudinal as well as
transverse direction. Should it be necessary to install it crosswise, the points where adhesive tape is used must be covered with
continuous battening to prevent adhesive tape from becoming detached due to the blow-in pressure.

The areas to be sealed with tape or adhesive must be dry and free of grease, dust and silicone
