GCS Interior is a class 1 vapour open, premium ecological, natural mineral and silicate based paint for interior use. Ideally suited for use in heritage buildings and older properties, where a traditional mineral finish and fully breathable paint system is required. Free of toxic substances, the paint contains lime as a natural preservative, eliminating the need to use chemicals or carcinogenic substances.  

SURFACES & PREPARATION  

New walls and ceilings (especially natural plasters and renders), compatible and previously painted surfaces. 

The substrate must be well adhered, free from impurities, clean, dry and dust free. Rake out any cracks and repair using the appropriate Graphenstone or compatible fillers. 

Lightly sand down any shiny surfaces and prime where required. It may be necessary to conduct site trials onto surfaces to test and make certain of suitability. 

APPLICATION METHOD 

Dilute with 10 -15% water for handling and to ensure a smooth, even finish. Stir thoroughly and avoid excessive shaking to minimise the formation of air bubbles. 

Apply 2 or 3 coats evenly, maintaining a ‘wet-edge’ to avoid lap marks. Cut in and roll one wall at a time, using the same dilution rates. Roll as close to the edges for an  

Take care not to apply the paints too thickly, which can affect curing times and can cause micro cracking. 

The natural mineral bases benefit from being rolled and worked out well. This will help you to achieve a rich and even finish.
